Dear Chit,

What you suggested on March 31 was exactly what I had in mind. The idea was for every Santanian to become a member of the nearest existing organization(chapter) and to put up a chapter where there is none. The zones and numbers I mentioned were all arbitrary. We should try to cover the entire globe though.
If the presidents and vice-presidents of all chapters will attend our reunion in January,2011, they can elect the executive officers of the "Annak ti Santa, International" then.
Regards to Nanay and Ed. From Nonong too.

Your Manang Rexit

P.S. Sorry, I didn't visit our web earlier.

I just learned about this group a few minutes ago from a friend. I looked through the site and it is amazing how many santanians there are in the U.S. I am the daughter of Eloy Bello & Lourdes Ramirez and my brothers are Eling and Lindo. I have been here in St Louis, Missouri since 1957; have 7 children and 13 grandchildren. I do not know any Santanian in this city. If any of you do, please let me know.
Congratulations to the people who created this site. A wonderful place to get to know our kailian.

Ref: "Annak ti Santa-August 2009"-Mr.& Mrs. Jose Brillo

Warmest congratulations to you both on your Golden Wedding Anniversary. Manmano ti makadanon ti nabalitokan nga anniversaryo.Congratulations also for being the Annak ti Santa iti Agosto 2009. Dagiti natun-oy nga balligi dagita nga annakyo isuda ti mangipaneknek of how well they were nurtured at an early age. In America, balancing family and work life is a real struggle, children are torn between two cultures. Our children are raised at an early to be proud of their parents' nativeland, never to forget where they came from, they cook and eat our Filipino food, speak Ilocano and respect their elders.
Mrs. Brillo, you were my Home Economics Teacher at the Santa Central Pilot School. Many thanks for all the early training about good housekeeping which I also passed on to my children. God bless you and your family always.

Hi, I just thought that maybe this is the best place for me to get the mailing address or email address of Lindo and Connie Bello ( Eloy Bello 111 ). If anybody knows their address, may we have it so we can send our condolences for the death of their son ?

Thanks a lot.

This is in response to the suggestion to create another Santa organization. In my humble opinion, I think there is no need to put up an organization under another tittle. there are existing Santanians from Hawaii, Southern California, Nevada and I believe there is one in Canada. Some of these date back from 20 + years ago and I'm sure they want to keep their organizations intact. Why don't we just call on the existing leaders and officers of these organizations and we converge under one umbrella with common vision, purpose and goals. Each chapter will maintain their own officers and board of directors and at the same time an over all Executive Board and President will be elected. As they say in Unity there is Force. Just a thought.
Mr. Romy Baldeviso, Maam Mildred, I wish you'd continue the good work you started. I am calling the attention of the Blanche, Billones, Custodia & Balallo families. Let's put together a functional organization where everyone is treated equally regardless of color, creed and status in life, with a realistic, down to earth and deliverable mission that will benefit the PEOPLE of Santa and not one bourne out of self-indulgence.

Manong Roland is my relative. My father's sister auntie Mary, the family historian (one of 2 survivors among 6 children) traced our Santa roots. We grew up in Alaminos City,Pangasinan but when she was young she'd spend her school breaks with Nana Bandang Birosel in Santa. She also refers to Manong Nick (the late Dr. Nicolas Bello) as her friend and relative.

For the past 5 years my wife Mildred & i have been going home to Santa and I enjoyed it everytime. True there's not much for entertainment; thank God for the radio, TV and sungka(I have yet to win a round), but beyond the mundane there are things that soothe the mind, body & spirit: the awesome sunset, the vast blue waters, the sound of waves, the evening & early morning breeze, the chorusline of crickets, roosters' crow (my alarm clock), the silence & serenity after dusk, the sight of children playing in the backyard to name a few. What hearten me most are the warmth and hospitality of the people. The food will not disappoint the gastronome. Everything tastes awesome. They're priced like gold but it's worth it. It's what keeps me wanting to keep going back.

I am very proud of the people of Santa and I am happy to be part of this unique town.
