<p><span style="font-size: 90%;">Milagros Josefa B. Bello Milagros Josefa B. Bello, fondly called "Milfa" is the youngest daughter and fifth among six children of the late Atty. Isidro Ramirez Bello and Mrs. Natividad Belmonte de Peralta, two of the founders and original owners of Santa High School Foundation, Inc. formerly Santa High School, the only private secondary school in Santa that existed for the last 62 years.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 90%;">When the government implemented free secondary education nationwide and with the advent of barangay public high schools, competition for enrollment was inevitable. Milfa was determined to keep the school afloat and carry on their parents' legacy to serve the community by providing quality secondary education that is affordable. She was the "brain" behind the school's conversion to a foundation. In 1999, Santa High School became Santa High School Foundation, Incorporated. Today, under her stewardship, the school continues to provide scholarship to poor but deserving students.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 90%;">Practiced her profession as a Private Physician- General Practitioner in Santa from 1957 to 1972.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 90%;">&nbsp;Entered Government service as the Rural Health Physician of Santa in 1972 and retired in 1992 after 20 years of service.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 90%;">Elected as one of Santa's Municipal Councilors and served for 9 years (1995- 2004)</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 90%;">&nbsp;After her retirement, she went back to private practice as General Practitioner up to now.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 90%;">She is a member of the Philippine Medical Association and the Ilocos Sur Medical Society</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 90%;">She is also a member of different religious organizations and is still active in social and church activities in our hometown.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 90%;">Born on November 10, 1939, Rolando Birosel de Castro is the youngest son of four children of the late Rufino de Castro of Manangat, Caoayan, Ilocos Sur and Servanda Birosel of Quirino District, Santa. He is an alumnus of Manila Central University and North Western University, Laoag City.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 90%;">For seventeen years, he taught Science and was CAT Commander at the Santa High School Foundation,Inc.&nbsp; He served in the government in the Bureau of Internal Revenue for 27 years.&nbsp; After retirement, he tried his luck in politics and served the people of Santa as an elected Municipal Councilor from 2004- 2007.&nbsp; At present, he is the Guidance Councelor of Santa High School Foundation, Inc. and his role is to help the youth grow in power, to give point and experience while making their own unique contribution to the society where they belong.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 90%;">&nbsp;He is married to Maria Lourdes Bello-de Castro, the sixth of nine children of the late Atty. Isidro M. Bello, Sr. and Natividad de Peralta Bello, both of Santa.&nbsp; She is an alumna of Santa Central School, Santa High School and University of Santo Tomas.&nbsp; She has been an English teacher since 1964 and had also sitted as a member of the Municipal Council for three consecutive terms.&nbsp; The couple are blessed with six children who now have their own stable jobs by God's mercy &amp; blessing.</span></p>

<p style="padding-left: 30px; font-size: 110%;"><span style="font-size: 90%;">The first quarter of the 20th century before&nbsp;WWII on May 2, 1927, ushers to us a senior citizen, Mrs. Segundina A. Burgonio, nee Gunding Amano.&nbsp; At an early age, she was inspired by her aunt's dedication to prayer and religious practices.&nbsp; As the second child of four children, she had great inclination to spirituality.&nbsp; Soon after graduation from high school, her aunt, Sor Edborga, RVM, Mother Superior wanted her to study in the cloister of their congregation.&nbsp; Her parents were not sold to the idea and so by dint of fate was not allowed to study with her.</span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px; font-size: 110%;"><span style="font-size: 90%;">She was one of the last grade VII graduates before WW II as third honors. She did not go to school during the Japanese Occupation.&nbsp; She finished her secondary education at the Ilocos Sur National High School in March, 1948.&nbsp; She took Education at the Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion in Vigan with English as her major and Science as her minor subject.&nbsp; She became President of the Education Department, a Lamda Kappa Sorority member and graduated Magna Cum Laude in March, 1952.&nbsp; At the graduate school at Mariano State University, Laoag City, she finished her masteral thesis entitled, "The Relevance of the Philippine Mental Ability Test Results to the Academic Achievement of Grade I Pupils at the Santa Central School."&nbsp; While at graduate school she felt a glowing inspiration to discuss guidance theories when she found out that her teacher, classmates and instructor depended so much with whatever knowledge she could share.&nbsp; To her, like an innocent child, everything is possible and that life is forever.&nbsp; Yet we have our own odyssey of life to live.</span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px; font-size: 110%;"><span style="font-size: 90%;">Nana Gunding taught English and Biology at Notre Dame Girl's Department in Cotabato for two years.&nbsp; She also taught English at Santa High School after moving to Santa.&nbsp; In June, 1959 she&nbsp;joined&nbsp;the public elementary school in Santa.&nbsp; While in the service she underwent in-service trainings, National/Regional Division and District Level.&nbsp; She conducted demonstrations in English (language and reading) and Science.&nbsp; She authored orations, declamations and essays during inter-school district contests.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p style="padding-left: 30px; font-size: 110%;"><span style="font-size: 90%;">For most part of her golden years, she took care of her ailing husband who had been undergoing dialysis and was under medical surveillance for ten years.&nbsp; Time came when her husband could do without dialysis and the couple was allowed to travel three times successively to visit their children in New York, Chicago, &amp; Florida.&nbsp; While in New York they had interstate travels to neighboring states and tourist spots up to Atlantic City and West Point through Lincoln tunnel. They journeyed to Toronto, Canada to see Niagara Falls,the Cullen Gardens and CNN Tower.&nbsp; Their children brought them to Sears Tower at Chicago and Miami Beach while in Florida.</span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px; font-size: 110%;"><span style="font-size: 90%;">On July 29, 2002 the couple celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary&nbsp;completely attended by&nbsp;their brood of children and grandchildren. Not long after, dialysis became a must again for Tata Bening.&nbsp; When the last dialysis didn't prove sufficient he suffered cardiac arrest and was in a state of coma until he expired on Dec. 31, 2003.&nbsp; Nana Gunding suffered so much at the demise of her husband as part of herself was lost forever.&nbsp; After years of mourning, the benevolent Lord came to her succor to dispel the shadows of gloom, she came to think of her children and grandchildren to live for and the Lord's plan came to play.</span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px; font-size: 110%;"><span style="font-size: 90%;">Recent years to date, she became a pastoral leader, a CWL Board of Director, a Vice Chair of Apostleship of Prayer and now Hermana of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.&nbsp; At the age of 81, all these activities occupy her which bring her closer to the Lord to whom she has committed her time, treasure and talent.&nbsp; Here she feels the joy and recompense of consecrating her whole life in the service of the Lord sharing the Good news of salvation, the devotion to the Divine Mercy.</span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px; font-size: 110%;"><span style="font-size: 90%;">Nana Gunding is&nbsp;a simple, unassuming and soft-spoken woman with unquestioned Morality&nbsp;&amp; Integrity, civic consciousness &amp; cooperation.&nbsp; Loved by students and associates, she is truly an asset to the school and community.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 110%;">&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 90%;">Teresita Castillo-Sagay was born in Labut Sur.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Her husband Paulino Sagay hails from Kalumsing, San Emilio, Ilocos Sur.&nbsp; They are blessed with three children; Alona, a Staff Nurse at St. Lukes Episcopal Hospital, Houston, TX, Dr. Maria Carolyn, a Pediatrican based in the Phil. and son Nelson who resides in California, USA.&nbsp; </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 90%;">Teresita graduated as valedictorian of Santa Central School class 1954, and Santa High School class 1959.&nbsp; She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Education at MMSU, College of Teacher Education (formerly Northern Luzon Teachers College) in Laoag City.&nbsp;&nbsp; She holds a Master of Arts in Education Major in Educational Management&nbsp; from the same school, and her Doctor of Education Major in Administration and Supervision from the University of Northern Philippines in Vigan City.</span></p>

Valle, former Treasurer and BIR Officer of San Juan (Lapug), Ilocos Sur.&nbsp; He is married to Lilian M.Tamayo, a nurse, daughter of the late Jose Tamayo- former Deputy Governor of Nueva Vizcaya&nbsp; and Socorro Medina, former Vice Mayor of Bambang Nueva Vizcaya.&nbsp; Manuel and Lilian have two sons, Joselito and Joseph, who both go to California State University, East Bay.</span></strong></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 90%;">&nbsp;<strong>Graduate and Undergraduate Teaching</strong> -&nbsp; <strong>From August 2008 to date, Manuel has been a tenured, full-time professor/instructor of accounting at the City College of San Francisco, where he currently teaches accounting courses, which are UC and CSU transferrable.&nbsp; Concurrently, he is a part-time professor at the California State University, East Bay- Department of Accounting and its MPA Program.</strong></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 90%;"><strong>Non-Teaching Accounting Work History -</strong>&nbsp; <strong>From June 1986- April 1992, Manuel had been the Principal Accountant of the San&nbsp;Francisco Fire Department.&nbsp; Thereafter, he became the Principal Accountant/ Head Accountant of the City &amp; County of San Francisco - SF Treasurer &amp; Tax Collector's Office, where he took charge of the countywide property, business tax and other taxes, accounting for about $7.5 billion revenues per year.&nbsp; He had also been Head Accountant of the SF Recreation &amp; Park Department and the SF Port Commission.&nbsp; After more than 21 years with the City &amp; County of San Francisco, Manuel availed of early retirement on April 30, 2008 and started teaching at City College of San Francisco</strong>.</span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: 90%;">Before immigrating to the United States in June 1984, for 11 years, he had been the Chief Accountant of HI Cement Corporation which uses "Process&nbsp; Cost Accounting", and one of the top 100 corporations of the Philippines with main offices&nbsp;then located in Makati.</span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 90%;"><strong>Auditing and International Accounting Experience-</strong> <strong>For eleven years, Manuel had been the Principal &amp; Owner of the "Manuel B. Valle Auditing and Accounting Offices, CPA" , Quezon City, Philippines.&nbsp;&nbsp; In the international&nbsp; accounting/auditing field, Manuel had been for more than three years an Audit Staff member of Coopers &amp; Lybrand, Intl. CPAs (one of the Big Six (6) CPA firms in the U.S.) in association with Carlos J. Valdes &amp; Co., CPAs in Manila, where he audited global and other companies.</strong></span></p>
